Uhh where should I begin?!
.) Pixi Hydrate Milky Mist – This is a product I think I have advertised to everyone I know for the past 9 months. We all know the good old Mac Fix+ setting spray we all love and use( and let’s be honest, this is where this whole setting spray thing started for most of us). Although I still love my fix plus, this Pixi Hydrate Milky Mist has recently stolen my heart. I think the reason why I have been so obsessed with this product is that it
.) Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil – A fantastic cleansing oil for all skin types. A seriously amazing product, but if you hate a minty scent, then you should avoid this one. I think I bought my last bottle when I last traveled, but as I don’t have a Sephora near me here, I might need to find an alternative or pull some strings and let one of my girls send me one from France 😉
.) Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm – I remember when I first got this, I absolutely hated it. The first thing I didn’t like about this balm was the scent. It’s just one of those scents you either love it or hate it and it also made my eyes sting. But recently I ran out of my Clinique Take The day Off Cleansing Balm and I start using this one again. I only used it on my face with a hot muslin cloth. The thing I loved the most about this cleansing balm is that how it transformed how my skin looked in few days. I was so impressed, that I’m even willing to look over the whole scent thing that bothered me at first. Too bad I ran out of this one as well, been on a waiting list for ages, so lets hope that @cultbeauty will stock up soon! 🙂
.) Bioderma Sensibio Rich Soothing Cream for Sensitive Skin – I’ve used Bioderma’s products for years now and you know that I am a huge fan of their Sensibio line that is targeted for sensitive skin. I especially love their Mircelle water that is also known as a cult product in the beauty industry. I first tried this cream a year ago, but the “Light” version of it and although it was nice and great base for makeup, I didn’t have a WOW effect with it, UNTIL I tried their “Rich” version of the same cream and OH BOY, this cream has been my go to everyday face cream ever since. This stuff is seriously addictive. When you overprocess your face for some reason (either with acids or scrubs), then this is such a nice one to try out. It hydrates your skin extremely well, doesn’t leave your skin greasy or sticky, but leaves it super soft and hydrated. I would recommend this to everyone. Especially for people who have a sensitive/dehydrated and dry/very dry skin. It is also an amazing cream to use as a makeup base.
.) Mothercare “Baby Cotton Pads”– I know this seems like a random favorite. Cotton pads?! Really? But YES!!! These cotton pads are everything! I used to order the extra large cotton pads from the Boots, but now that I have been using these ones from the Mothercare, I can say goodbye to the other ones. Don’t get me wrong the Boots own extra large cotton pads are also very nice, but the Mothercare ones are much more accessible for me at the moment.
.) Chanel “Chance Eau Fraiche” – I bought this perfume ages ago and stopped using it for some time. A few weeks ago I was looking through my perfume shelf and found this old favorite of mine. Such a great scent for the spring and summer time. It is such a nice light fresh citrus scent. I know Chanel is known for its heavy scents, but this one is definitely an exception to the rule.
.) Biologique Recherche Lotion P50V – I only discovered this product thanks to Mrs. Caroline Hirons. This woman is a legend in my eyes and on top of everything we are both bananas about good skincare products. She just is way more advanced in that field than I am. Anyway, enough about my rambling. This product she recommends has been on my wishlist for AGES. The only problem was, I couldn’t find a place near me or online, where I could have bought one. And finally, I found a SPA in Tallinn that is selling them. I think this place was called City Spa and it’s located in the city center in Tallinn. I admit the amazing customer service made my end decision very fast. I know Caroline was recommending the original p50 and the other one they only sell in the USA, but in the spa, they convinced me to start off with a bit gentle one (the P50V version) and then move ahead and start using the P50 after that. I can’t believe they managed to convince me to change my mind, that almost never happens, but more power to them, I think I was just so impressed by the service (and that rarely happens in Tallinn). So my next bottle will be the original P50.
For those of you who have no idea or haven’t heard about this amazing product. I will try to sum it up in my own words and very simply. It’s basically a mix of all sorts of acids that are good for your skin. I have problematic skin and I need to exfoliate it daily. If you are in the same boat, then you know what I’m talking about. The skin that has texture, gets clogged super easy and is prone to acne. What happens is that even when you exfoliate it daily with a scrub, your skin becomes more sensitive and no matter what I did, I couldn’t get back my old glow. This product changed that. If you have a 30+ skin, then acids are one of the best things you can do for it.
.) Shu Uemura Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Treatment for Dry Hair – This treatment! I forgot how good it was. I ran out of it and as I red that they are removing it from the UK, I panicked and ordered myself some backup. I have an old blog post (LINK) about this that I wrote ages ago that you can read if you want to know more about this treatment and why this is my absolute favorite still. I even bought the shampoo as well, but this isn’t worth the money to be completely honest with you. So skip the shampoo and get two tubs of that treatment instead. You won’t regret it, I promise!
.) Laser hair removal – This procedure has changed my life. It has been the best investment I have made in a while. I am shocked how effective this thing can be. What I mean by “can be” is that I did have two very horrific experiences with laser treatment. But thankfully and because of a great recommendation, I have found a very good salon with a great professional who knows what she is doing. I can’t recommend this enough.
.) Löyly – This is not really a May Favorite, more like March favorite, but I had to mention this place to you, because if you ever go to Helsinki – you must visit and do the whole experience, that means try out their saunas, gins and next day hangover sandwich. Me and my friend Helen went for a girls weekend getaway trip to Finland. Damn! That was a fun fun fun trip! But the highlight was this place called Löyly. After moving back to Tallinn, I have given up my hope and dreams when it comes to excellent customer service.
.) Q&A A Day 5 Year Journal – I ordered this ages ago for myself and for my best friend. We promised to fill this journal out for the next 5 years, well, will see how that goes. To be honest, I think this project has begun rather successfully. So fingers crossed we can keep up with it for the next 4,5 years. I think it is a super nice bonding thing with your friend and something you can look back to and see what you have been up to and how far you have become in that 5 years. For example, little victories in our work field, kids growing up so fast and it’s fantastic to see when something happens, trips, new haircuts etc, I’m sure you get the idea, everything like that will be together in that one little book. A great gift for someone who already has everything they need and for someone who values memories over things.
.) Benefit Hoola Bronzer – This is not a new product, but an old favorite of mine that I discovered again this spring. This is “an absolute must have” for every makeup lover out there. It gives you the most natural sunkissed look. What I really like about this bronzer is that it is a matte bronzing powder with cool undertones. I’m not a big fan of bronzers that have shimmer in it or have an orange undertone to them. No one wants to look like an Oompa Loompa. And because it is matte and has cool undertones in it, it can be used as a contour powder. The price of this product is very reasonable for what you get.
.) IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream in Medium – I hesitated for the longest time before I ordered this foundation. Yes, I call it foundation as this is a really full coverage cream that is closer to the foundation rather than CC cream. I also took my time as the swatches I saw online were really warm and I couldn’t decide if I am in the shade light or medium. So I ended up ordering both but ended up using the shade medium. This foundation has now become my most used and loved foundation. It looks really natural, yet has a full coverage AND it has a UVA/UVB 50+. It lasts all day and blends amazingly with my skin tone. The finish is very natural, but you might need to powder this if you have an oily skin. Seriously, if you are loving NARS sheer glow in Punjab, Estee Lauder Double Wear in Rattan, Dior Forever and are looking for a new everyday foundation, then you should definitely try this out. A fun fact: Women who are 50+ LOOOOOVE this foundation. As I know some of my readers are over 50 years old, ladies, I am talking to you 😉 go and get the IT Cosmetics CC cream and let me know what you think of this product. I’m really interested to hear your opinion in that.
.) Shea Butter – This is such a good find this year and one of those natural products that actually does works miracles for your skin. My skin can get super ashy and itchy when I don’t moisturize every time I take a shower.
.) Boxing – I’ve been really into boxing these days. I managed to find this amazing private trainer who is the most patient person I know. I find that it is great for someone like myself who is “slightly” impatient and wants to see fast results. It’s a fantastic workout. I have a super weak heart, so it’s fantastic to gain some more strength and stamina.
.) Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula – The rare times I use any scrubs besides the acids, I have been really loving the Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub. It super gentle, but not so gentle that you can’t feel a thing. It still does what it suppose to do and leaves my skin super soft and refreshed.
.) Mindfulness app
